want to create a wordpress plugin to manage / control Slideshow Pro galleries (slideshowpro.net), and provide an interface for controlling their appearance and content via a WP admin interface.
Please see this for a similar example:
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-simpleviewer/screenshots/
** this example is more complicated because they are also providing an area for changing/updating image order and captions.. we will not be doing this but the example is good for its use of multiple galleries and some display options for each.
http://wp-simpleviewer.fuggi82.de/
** this page has more details on the above plugin
Slideshow Pro typically requires customization through flash where all variables are controlled and published via the .swf file - the latest versions now allow this data to be loaded via a preferences xml file (see example attached). The XML preference file needed to display the galleries could be generated on-the-fly based on database of style preferences created in admin by user.
What I want to create is a wordpress plugin with administration interface that allows creating/editing/deleting galleries and saving styling preferences for each individual gallery.
For example, when a user wants to include a gallery in a post or page, they simply insert a tag into the text: [ssp_gallery=testgallery]
Within the admin panel, the gallery "testgallery" would be created and all of the styling preferences would be filled out for that gallery... there would also be a 'quick preview' option to popup a new window and see the setup changes on-the-fly.
There may need to be some setup options available in the admin setup for the location of the Slideshow Pro files, as the user will need to purchase/install this separately.
** Please note, this plugin does not handle uploading/managing actual images, just XML data for publishing the galleries.
** Plugin should be compatible with Wordpress 2.6 installations, friendly with other plugins and various wordpress setups.
** I will accept FULL rights and ownership of the plugin and post it under my name. I will escrow full amount upon project start and release promptly after proper fuctionality has been demonstrated on the live site.
Please do not hesitate to ask for further clarification on any details of this project.
Thanks!
