Reverse Auction Site

Thu, 10 Jul 2008 13:49:32 GMT

Budget: $250-$750
Category: PHP, Project Management, Website Design

I need a reverse auction site built that will be similar to uShip.com and this site. The site will be for a unique niche and will require a NDA from the winning bidder. There are many features that will be necessary and more will develop as the project is built, I need an ongoing partnership rather than a simple ‘job’.

A few details about the site:
The site will need to be built from the ground up design, software, implementation, and revisions. I will need to be able to charge only the service providers. They should be charged a % of the final auction value with the possibility of charging per bid in the future. They should not be able to bid an an auction unless they have preloaded their account (like on GAF) with enough funds to cover the fee in the case they win. There should also be a decent rating system and users should be encouraged to rate service providers. Landing pages should geographically take users to listings only in their city (see ups.com for a geographic landing page) and cookies should automatically take users back to their city. The site will launch with only 10 cities but should be very easy to add new ones…. Scalability is the key here.

The Bidding:
Please bid on an ongoing (monthly) price for your services. The initial site should be finished in 60 days, but I will commit to 4-6 months of continuous service at the amount you bid. This will be for testing, refining, and upgrading. The contract will, most likely, be extended indefinitely after the initial development for ongoing support and maintenance. Please include a monthly dollar amount, the minimum number of months you would require me to commit to your services, references, your location, and availability of your team.
