What I need Done:
Right now I am looking for an EXPERT PHP/My SQL developer. Now what this PHP developer will be doing is basically working with an existing shopping cart design we have had built, and constantly updating the features available in it (ex. If a customer wants to postpone their next shipment by 20 days, we can change a number in that customers "profile" where the "next billing date" is listed to 20 days later, and this will in turn change her next billing date).

When ever we need a new feature added to our admin section or our checkout process, I expect you to be able to do it exactly to our specification, quickly and effectively.

Some more examples of tasks we will be requiring is things such as adding an upsell to our checkout process. What will happen in this instance is once the customer has put in their contact info and credit card info, and they then hit the "Purchase" button another offer will come up on the next page to buy another product. If the customer clicks "Yes I want this product as well" then the credit card is billed for that product as well. If the customer clicks "No" then it is still only their initial order that is billed.

Another example of what will need to be developed in an automatic email and customer list. What will be required with this administration function is if a customer attempts to place an order and their order is declined, then they will automatically be sent an email stating that their order has been declined. As well as this email, the customer will also be added to a "Failed Customers" list that will continually be updated with these "Failed Customers" and all of their contact info. This list will then be used by our outbound sales representatives to contact these people and attempt to replace their order.

This is just a small sampling of the functions we will need implements with out website, checkout, customer database, and website admin section. Basically if it is possible with PHP I want you to have the skills and abilities to be able to do it quickly and effectively because we need things implemented ASAP once we request them. If you are a beginner or would not classify yourself as an EXPERT, please do not bid, I only want the best for this position.

What We Already Have: We currently have a recurring billing system in place, so when the customer orders a subscription, they are put on a recurring billing cycle. This checkout and customer database has already been built and is fully functional, however there are going to be constant improvements made to it each and everyday. Once I pick the best provider possible we will be explaining exactly how our checkout works now and how the admin section works.

What I require: I need a developer that is among the best of the best, I cannot stress this enough. As well, I do require that the winning candidate be able to work the same hours as my in house graphic designer which is 9am - 5pm MST. This is crucial as I believe a huge part of getting the correct work done is direct contact through either an instant messaging program or phone calls throughout the day. If you cannot work during our required hours (9am - 5pm MST) or you do not have excellent English communication skills, please do not bid on this project.

This position will be continues with our company providing the work is of the quality we are expecting. Payment will come by lump sum payments to cover your hourly wage, and once each lump sum has been depleted, another payment will be sent.
